Download Agent
Visit the Forté Agent Newsreader websitee (Forteinc.com) to download the latest version of the client.

Install Forte
The installation is simple. Choose a folder for the program to install and whether or not you want desktop or quick launch icons.

Configure Agent for Newshosting



Step One
When you start Agent for the first time, the setup wizard appears. Enter the following information:

News Server:

• secure.usenetserver.com - For Secure Connections
• news.usenetserver.com - For Standard Connections

Check "This server requires SSL" for secure access.
Enter your Username & Password you received in your welcome email.
Click Next.



Step Two
Next we will go in and choose the remaining server options. To do so click on Tools » Servers and Accounts.



Step Three
Now you can enter in the server information. The Servers and Accounts properties screen includes everything you need to get up and running. Click on Eweka to the left and enter the information as follows nothing that some is already populated from earlier:

Host Name:

• secure.usenetserver.com - For Secure Connections
• news.usenetserver.com - For Standard Connections

Username & Password from welcome email.
Enter your Max Connections you would like.
Click Advanced Settings.



Step Four
Here you can change the port (optional):
You can use port 563, 443 or 8080 for secure connections or port 119, 23, 25, 119, 3128, 8000 or 9000 for standard connections.
Click OK.
